Summary of Duties: Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
Essential Duties:
• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
• Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Make any and all adjustments to insure dimensional and cosmetic quality.
• Make production rates as specified on paperwork.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and legibly.
• Use micrometers and all other measuring equipment to complete in-process inspections.
• Clean all parts and move to next operation.
• Run multiple machines simultaneously.
• Maintain machine in good, safe working order.
• Report any malfunctions to maintenance department.

• Perform CNC Operations. Conduct all set-up and quality operations in support of machining for self and others.
• Setup vertical, horizontal, or lathe CNC machine(s).
• Inspect own parts following in-process inspection requirements with hand tools (calipers, micrometer, drop gauge, pin gauge, height gage, indicator).
• Follow through on required paperwork (job travelers, in-process inspection, red tags).
• Communicate issues with dimensions to upper level supervisors and/or QC inspector (prevent non-conformance from re-occurring).
• Operate machines in accordance with process sheets and any other required paperwork (i.e. drawings, specifications, etc.).
• Create, edit and/or retrieve CNC programs from system files and execute.
• Use manufacturing paperwork (travelers, blueprints, sketches, etc) to: manufacture product that meets quality requirements.
• Inspect and verify work prior to submitting for inspection. If non-conforming, process via non-conforming material procedures.
• Meet time and schedule standards for assigned work.
• Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Able to do offset, compensations, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
• Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

Summary of Duties: Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production in a manufacturing area.
Essential Duties:
• Maintain machines assigned (lube oil, coolant, collet & bushing cleaning, etc.)
• Replace and offset tooling to produce high quality parts
• Use industry-standard measurement instruments (caliper, micrometer, vision systems) to meet tolerance requirements.
• Inspect components during manufacturing and maintain consistent quality.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
• Meet production demands and complete work orders in a timely manner
• Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
• Prepare material as needed for machining
• Maintain shop, equipment, tools, etc.
• Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Maintain inventory of product in work stations
• Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards
• Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
• Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
